The Bathampton Mill

The Bathampton Mill is a great riverside pub. You can walk there in 40 minutes along the Kennet and Avon Canal. The walk is really easy, gently meandering its way through the city and out into the surrounding countryside. Leave the canal at The George pub, another lovely alfresco spot, and walk towards the river along Mill Lane. You can also turn the journey into a mini cruise, with a 30 minute boat ride from Pulteney Weir in the city centre. The pub has a selection of lounge rooms and dining areas including a deck overlooking the river, with extensive lawns for alfresco drinks. The food and drink selection is modern, and ranges from light bites to roasts, coffees to champagne; a good all rounder.
